Amukta Pass in the Aleutian Islands. The 5th edition of Fishes of the World classifies the genus Bolinia within the subfamily Cottinae of the family Cottidae, however, other authors classify the genus within the subfamily Psychrolutinae of the family Psychrolutidae.
