<p>Coffee cups, along with other coffee ware, originated in the <a href="page.php?w=Middle_East">Middle East</a>. In the 17th century, coffee was consumed from small handle-less bowls, "Greek cups". The cups were <a href="page.php?w=Chinese_export_porcelain">Chinese export porcelain</a> or its <a href="page.php?w=Japanese_export_porcelain">Japanese equivalent</a>; the same cups</p><p>
