These folds are known as dural folds, or reflections.</p>

<p>The dura mater is primarily derived from <a href="page.php?w=neural_crest_cells">neural crest cells</a>, with postnatal contributions from the <a href="page.php?w=paraxial_mesoderm">paraxial mesoderm</a>.</p><p>
