<p>In most versions of the legend, Io was the daughter of <a href="page.php?w=Inachus">Inachus</a>, though various other purported genealogies are also known. If her father was Inachus, then her mother would presumably have been Inachus's wife (and sister), the <a href="page.php?w=Oceanid">Oceanid</a></p><p>
