<p><big>Tribal tribunes</big></p>
<p>The word tribune is derived from the <a href="page.php?w=Roman_tribes">Roman tribes</a>. The three original tribes known as the Ramnes or Ramnenses, Tities or Titienses, and the Luceres, were each headed by a tribune, who represented each tribe in civil, religious, and military matters.
