Early life

Herro was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and graduated from Whitnall High School in Greenfield, Wisconsin. In his senior season, he was named to the First Team All-State as he averaged 32.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 3.3 steals per game; his field goal percentage was over 50 and his three-point shooting percentage was 43.5. He scored more than 2,000 points
