Bonds are typically not <a href="page.php?w=Collateral_%28finance%29">secured by collateral</a> (although they can be), and are sold in relatively small denominations of around $1,000 to $10,000. Unlike bank loans, bonds may be held by <a href="page.php?w=retail_investor">retail investor</a>s.</p><p>
