<p>Cystine is common in many foods such as eggs, meat, dairy products, and whole grains as well as skin, horns and hair. It was not recognized as being derived of <a href="page.php?w=proteins">proteins</a> until it was isolated from the <a href="page.php?w=Horn_%28anatomy%29">horn</a> of a <a href="page.php?w=cow">cow</a></p><p>
