<p>The jussive form is also used in past tense sentences negated by <i>lam</i> <i>??</i> (but not <i>ma</i> <i>??</i>).</p>

<p>The jussive mood can be expressed in Esperanto using the <a href="page.php?w=volitive_modality">volitive</a> verb form, which is made by adding -u to a verb stem.<br/>
