<p>The original design for the <a href="page.php?w=ARPANET">ARPANET</a> was <a href="page.php?w=Wesley_A._Clark">Wesley Clark's</a> April 1967 proposal for using <a href="page.php?w=Interface_Message_Processor">Interface Message Processors</a> to create a message switching network.
