<p>Various Reformers interpreted certain scriptural texts as imposing strictures on <a href="page.php?w=sacred_music">sacred music</a>. The psalms, especially, were felt to be commended to be sung by these texts. One example is <a href="page.php?w=James_5">James 5</a>:13 (<a href="page.php?w=KJV">KJV</a>)</p>
