<p>The two-domain system became more widely accepted after the discovery of a large <a href="page.php?w=Kingdom_%28biology%29">kingdom</a> of archaea called <a href="page.php?w=Asgard_%28Archaea%29">Promethearchaeati</a> in 2017, which evidence suggests to be the evolutionary root of eukaryotes, thereby making eukaryotes members of the domain Archaea.</p>
