Further north, off the Pacific coast of Canada, leatherbacks visit the beaches of <a href="page.php?w=British_Columbia">British Columbia</a>.</p>

<p>Estimates by the <a href="page.php?w=World_Wide_Fund_for_Nature">WWF</a> suggest only 2,300 adult females of the Pacific leatherback remain, making it the most endangered marine turtle subpopulation.</p>
