<p>Emile Benton MacKaye was born in <a href="page.php?w=Stamford%2C_Connecticut">Stamford, Connecticut</a>, on March 6, 1879, to actor and dramatist <a href="page.php?w=Steele_MacKaye">Steele MacKaye</a> and his wife Mary. He was the sixth of seven children (and last son) born</p><p>
