<p>Clew Bay was the heart of the <a href="page.php?w=Gaelic_Ireland">Gaelic</a> territory of <a href="page.php?w=Umhaill">Umhaill</a>, ruled by the Uí Máille (<a href="page.php?w=O%27Malley_%28surname%29">O'Malleys</a>).</p><p>
