The <a href="page.php?w=armorial">armorial</a>s of the second half of the 13th century do not include helmets. Helmets are shown as an integral part of coats in the first half of the  14th century (<a href="page.php?w=Codex_Manesse">Codex Manesse</a>, <a href="page.php?w=Z%C3%BCrich_armorial">Zürich armorial</a>). These helmets are still of the "<a href="page.php?w=great_helm">great helm</a>" type,</p><p>
