<p>In his <a href="page.php?w=Sk%C3%A1ldskaparm%C3%A1l">Skáldskaparmál</a> the 13th-century Icelandic writer <a href="page.php?w=Snorri_Sturluson">Snorri Sturluson</a> hints at a less divine origin for this dynasty: One war-king was named Skelfir; and his house is called the House of Skilfings:</p><p>
