<p>Certain specimens (especially biopsies) can undergo <a href="page.php?w=agar">agar</a> pre-embedding to assure correct tissue orientation in cassette & then in the block & then on the diagnostic microscopy slide. This is then placed into a plastic cassette for most of the rest of the process.</p>
