<p>The conditions for feedback follow the <a href="page.php?w=Barkhausen_stability_criterion">Barkhausen stability criterion</a>, namely that, with sufficiently high gain, a stable <a href="page.php?w=oscillation">oscillation</a> can (and usually will) occur in a feedback loop whose frequency is such that the phase delay is an <a href="page.php?w=integer">integer</a> multiple</p><p>
