<p>In the 1940s, the Avoset process was developed by George Grindrod. Food products processed using the Avoset process were packaged under <a href="page.php?w=Ultraviolet">ultraviolet lamps</a> and sterilized air inside a positive-pressurized room to keep the <a href="page.php?w=contaminants">contaminants</a> out of the processing room.
