In the abstract, Acadia refers to the existence of an Acadian culture in any of these regions. People living in Acadia are called <a href="page.php?w=Acadians">Acadians</a>, which in Louisiana changed to <a href="page.php?w=Cajuns">Cajuns</a>, the more common, rural American, name of Acadians.</p>
