<p><big>Barburgh Mill, smithy and Burn</big></p>
<p>The mill's water supply was not via the <a href="page.php?w=River_Nith">River Nith</a> but was instead from the waters of the Lake Burn via a lade that ran down from Stepends and Whitespots Farms with a system of sluices, overflows and mill ponds.
