Such colonies of bacteria growing inside the thallus give the hornwort a distinctive blue-green color. Symbiotic <a href="page.php?w=cyanobacteria">cyanobacteria</a> have not been reported in <a href="page.php?w=Megaceros">Megaceros</a> or <a href="page.php?w=Folioceros">Folioceros</a>.
