<p>acid design is the process by which, given a desired target structure or functionality, sequences are generated for nucleic acid strands which will self-assemble into that target structure.  Nucleic acid design encompasses all levels of <a href="page.php?w=DNA_structure">nucleic acid structure</a>:</p>
