<p>Starting in the 1840s, with the advent of the <a href="page.php?w=Mini%C3%A9_ball">Minié ball</a> and the first military <a href="page.php?w=breech-loading">breech-loading</a> rifles, the rifles entered the age of <a href="page.php?w=Industrial_warfare">industrialized warfare</a>.
