<p><big> Etymology </big></p>
<p>The name Sindhi is derived from the <a href="page.php?w=Sanskrit">Sanskrit</a> Sindhu, which translates as "river" or "sea body"; the Greeks used the term "Indos" to refer to the <a href="page.php?w=Indus_River">Indus River</a> and the surrounding region, which is where Sindhi is spoken.</p>
