<p>The peroxide process, also called the <b>Pechiney-Ugine-Kuhlmann process</b>, was developed in the early 1970s by <a href="page.php?w=Arkema">Produits Chimiques Ugine Kuhlmann</a>. Originally the process used acetone instead of methyl ethyl ketone.
