Restarts, however, are often only single file, but lapped cars may form a second line on the inside.  Some short track ovals have a rule, adopted by NASCAR in June 2009, and <a href="page.php?w=IndyCar">IndyCar</a> during the 2011 season only, where the restarts are all double file, with the leader's choice of inside or outside on the ensuing restart.</p>
