<p>The origin of the term soundscape is somewhat ambiguous. It is often miscredited as having been coined by Canadian composer and naturalist, <a href="page.php?w=R._Murray_Schafer">R. Murray Schafer</a>, who led much of the groundbreaking work on the subject from the 1960s and onwards.
