<p>In early Christianity the term mystikos referred to three dimensions, which soon became intertwined, namely the biblical, the liturgical and the spiritual or contemplative. The biblical dimension refers to "hidden" or <a href="page.php?w=Allegorical_interpretation_of_the_Bible">allegorical interpretations of Scriptures</a>.
