<p>In Germany, the cittern survives under the names <a href="page.php?w=Waldzither">Waldzither</a> and Lutherzither. The last name comes from the belief that <a href="page.php?w=Martin_Luther">Martin Luther</a> played this instrument. Also, the names Thüringer Waldzither in Thüringer Wald, Harzzither in the Harz mountains, <a href="page.php?w=Halszither">Halszither</a></p><p>
