Eberhard</a> as vorsokratische Philosophie in the late 18th century. In earlier literature they were referred to as physikoi ("physicists", after <a href="page.php?w=physis">physis</a>, "<a href="page.php?w=nature">nature</a>"), and their activity, as <a href="page.php?w=physiologoi">physiologoi</a> (physical or <a href="page.php?w=Natural_philosophy">natural philosophers</a>), with this usage arising with <a href="page.php?w=Aristotle">Aristotle</a></p><p>
