Laboratory for Radioactivity. In 1924, Bothe published on his coincidence method. The Bothe-Geiger coincidence experiment studied the Compton effect and the wave-particle duality of light. Bothe's coincidence method and his applications of it earned him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1954.
