<p><big>Polynomial interpolation</big></p>
<p>Polynomial interpolation is a generalization of linear interpolation. Note that the linear interpolant is a <a href="page.php?w=linear_function">linear function</a>. We now replace this interpolant with a <a href="page.php?w=polynomial">polynomial</a> of higher <a href="page.php?w=degree_of_a_polynomial">degree</a>.</p>
