the USA, teachers teach a Religious Education Program provided by the Bishop and Superintendent. The teacher, pastor, and Bishop therefore, contribute to the planning and teaching Religious Education Lessons.

The Church is also cognizant of the importance of religious education "for the great number who are being trained in schools that are not Catholic" and recognises the role of Catholic teachers and associates who "work in [non-Catholic] schools" and set an example by "by the witness of [their] lives".
