PIE  "deep"), a root that is also attested in German <i>Topel</i> ("forested valley") and <a href="page.php?w=Old_Slavic">Old Slavic</a> <i>dublu</i> ("hole"). There are several place names in Denmark, Norway and Sweden that are identified as related to Dovre:;Denmark<br/>
