This is one of the reasons that make DRAM cells slower than the larger SRAM (static RAM) cells, which has its value always available. That is the reason why SRAM memory is used for on-<a href="page.php?w=Integrated_circuit">chip</a> <a href="page.php?w=CPU_cache">cache</a> included in modern <a href="page.php?w=microprocessor">microprocessor</a> chips.</p>
