* What, if anything, makes the pain lessen?

* When did the pain start?After asking such questions, the health care provider will have a description of the pain. Pain is often rated on a scale from 1 to 10, known as the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS);
*Zero equaling no pain
*One to three equaling mild pain (nagging, annoying, interfering little with activities of daily living)
*Four to six equaling moderate pain
