<p>The hulls of a catamaran are typically connected by a bridgedeck, although some simpler cruising catamarans simply have a trampoline stretched between the crossbeams (or "akas"). Small beachable catamarans, such as the <a href="page.php?w=Hobie_Cat">Hobie Cat</a>, also have only a trampoline between the hulls.</p>
