Antares is the brightest star in the constellation of Scorpius. It has the Bayer designation ? Scorpii, which is Latinised to Alpha Scorpii. Often referred to as "the heart of the scorpion", Antares is flanked by ? Scorpii and ? Scorpii near the center of the
