In <b><i>Aspects</i></b>, Chomsky presented a deeper, more extensive reformulation of <a href="page.php?w=transformational_generative_grammar">transformational generative grammar</a> (TGG), a new kind of <a href="page.php?w=syntax">syntactic theory</a> that he had introduced in the 1950s</p><p>
