<p>The <b>Awetí</b> or <b>Aweti language</b> is one of the <a href="page.php?w=Tupian_languages">Tupian languages</a> of Central <a href="page.php?w=Brazil">Brazil</a>. Spoken by the indigenous <a href="page.php?w=Aweti">Aweti</a> people that live along the Upper Xingu River, the language is in danger of becoming extinct with a declining 150 living speakers.</p>
