Beit Hanoun or Beit Hanun is a destroyed and depopulated Palestinian city on the northeast edge of the Gaza Strip. According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, the town had a population of 52,237 in 2017. As a result of the ongoing Gaza war, the area of Beit Hanoun has been militarily contested between the Hamas administration and Israel.
