<p>The <b>Berry mechanism</b>, or <b>Berry pseudorotation mechanism</b>, is a type of vibration causing molecules of certain geometries to <a href="page.php?w=isomerization">isomerize</a> by exchanging the two axial ligands (see the figure) for two of the equatorial ones.
