This terminology is not typically used for any of the wild species or subspecies of  wild wolves, foxes, coyotes, dholes, jackals or the basal caninae. Dog terminology is often specific to each <a href="page.php?w=dog_breed">breed</a> or <a href="page.php?w=dog_type">type</a> of dog.</p><p>
