<p>Smith and Waddington, the predecessor to Commonwealth Engineering, was founded in 1921, in the <a href="page.php?w=Sydney">Sydney</a> suburb of <a href="page.php?w=Camperdown%2C_New_South_Wales">Camperdown</a>, as a body builder for custom motor cars.
