An ideal coolant has high <a href="page.php?w=thermal_capacity">thermal capacity</a>, low <a href="page.php?w=viscosity">viscosity</a>, and low cost, is <a href="page.php?w=non-toxic">non-toxic</a> and <a href="page.php?w=chemically_inert">chemically inert</a>, and neither causes nor promotes <a href="page.php?w=corrosion">corrosion</a> of the cooling system.
