<p>An <b>enclave</b> is a <a href="page.php?w=territory">territory</a> that is entirely surrounded by the territory of only one other <a href="page.php?w=state_%28polity%29">state</a> or <a href="page.php?w=entity">entity</a>. An enclave can be an independent territory or part of a larger one. Enclaves may also exist within <a href="page.php?w=territorial_waters">territorial waters</a>.
