<p><b>Euclid's theorem</b> is a fundamental statement in <a href="page.php?w=number_theory">number theory</a> that asserts that there are <a href="page.php?w=Infinite_set">infinitely</a> many <a href="page.php?w=prime_number">prime</a> numbers. It was first proven by <a href="page.php?w=Euclid">Euclid</a> in his work <a href="page.php?w=Euclid%27s_Elements">Elements</a>. There are at least 200 proofs of the theorem.</p>
