This information can be about the <a href="page.php?w=Setting_%28narrative%29">setting</a>, characters' <a href="page.php?w=backstory">backstories</a>, prior plot events, historical context, etc. In literature, exposition appears in the form of <a href="page.php?w=expository_writing">expository writing</a> embedded within the narrative.</p>
